1 Make sure that "Ready to scan." is displayed on the
scanner's message display, thus indicating that the scanner
is ready to scan.
2 Press the Cut Size (Length) key.
The Length Selection menu will appear.
3 Use the N and M cursor keys to move the arrow (e) to "#
keys".
4 Use the numeric keys to enter the desired length.
5 Press the Enter key.

3. PCScan Procedures
(Send to PC / Send to PC + Copy)
By installing in your computer the Scanner File Utility that is included
with the KM-S4850w, it is possible to have the scanned image data
sent directly to that computer. You can also make copies of that data
at the same time.
• Send to PC: Scans the document and sends the image data to
your computer.
• Send to PC + copy: Scans the document and simultaneously
sends the image data to your computer and makes a copy of that
data. In this case, however, it is not possible to scan documents of
a size over 36" x 48".
G Preparations
It is necessary to perform the following procedures before using the
Scanner File Utility.
1. Install the Scanner File Utility in your computer.
2. Start up the Scanner File Utility and register the destination
folder where the images will be saved.
3. Use your Internet Web browser to register the IP address of the
destination computer, its registered name and save number.
* Be sure to register the same number (1 - 100) in the Save
Number field as you did in the Scanner File Utility for the
destination folder.

G Sending scanned data to your computer
NOTES
• The available image transmission sizes and other available setting
items will depend upon the settings made for the resolution and
grayscale quality. For more information, refer to the KM-4850w
Operation Guide <Functions Edition> (On-Line Manual).

Press the Copier/Printer/Scanner key until the Scanner
Mode Select menu appears.
2 If you only want to have the scanned data sent to your
computer, use the N and M cursor keys to move the arrow
(e) to "Send to PC".
If you want to have the scanned data sent to your computer
AND make copies of the scanned document, use the N and
M cursor keys to move the arrow (e) to "Send to
PC+Copy".
3 Press the Enter key.
