CHAPTER 10 OPERATING A PRINTER WITH THE KM-S4850w INSTALLED
The Destination List menu will appear.
4 Use the N and M cursor keys to move the arrow (e) to
the desired destination folder. (Or, use the numeric keys to
enter the Save Number that is listed in front of the
destination.)
5 Press the Enter key.
6 If a password was designated when that destination was
registered, type in that password* and then press the Enter
key.
The Resolution Select menu will appear.
* The password that was registered using the Scanner File
Utility should be entered here. Refer to the KM-4850w
Functions Edition (On-Line Manual).
7 Use the N and M cursor keys to move the arrow (e) to
the desired resolution. Selection is possible between
2400 dpi, 1200 dpi, 600 dpi, 400 dpi, 300 dpi and 200 dpi.

Press the Enter key.
The File Format Select menu will appear.
9 Use the N and M cursor keys to move the arrow (e) to
the desired file format. Selection is possible between TIFF
(2), TIFF (2 [Halftone]), JPEG (Grayscale [STD]) and JPEG
(Grayscale [HQ]).

10 Press the Enter key.
If you selected TIFF (2) or TIFF (2 [Halftone]), the Pages per
File menu will appear. In this case, go to the next step.
If you selected JPEG (Grayscale [STD]) or JPEG (Grayscale
[HQ]), go directly to step 13.
11 Select whether or not you want to scan more documents. If
you only want to scan one document, use the N and M
cursor keys to move the arrow (e) to "Single page". If you
want to scan more than one document, use the N and M
cursor keys to move the arrow (e) to "Multi page".
12 Press the Enter key.
13 "Ready to scan." will be displayed.
Refer to "G When the Panel Operation Mode is turned ON"
on page 10-5 and select the desired exposure, etc.
14 Set the document that you want to scan.
Scanning will begin automatically when the document is
inserted. If, for any reason, it does not start automatically,
press the Start key.
NOTES
Refer to "1. Originals for copying" on page 3-1 for more detailed
information on setting documents.
15 If you selected "Send to PC+Copy" in the Scanner Mode
Select menu, "Press start key." will be displayed.
Perform the appropriate copy settings there.
