Operation Mode is turned ON.
NOTES
• Be sure to perform the desired settings BEFORE inserting the
document that you want to scan.
• The available image transmission sizes and other available setting
items will depend upon the settings made for the resolution and
grayscale quality. For more information, refer to the Operation
Guide <Functions Edition> (On-Line Manual).
Type of document and/or scanning exposure selection
This setting allows you to select between the 2 available document
types: "Normal" and "Text/Line", as well as select the desired
scanning exposure. The actual procedure is the same as when
making copies.
Image transmission size selection
Scanned data can be sent to your computer at a designated size.
You can select between the Auto detect mode, standard dimensions
or a custom size.
G How to select the image transmission size
The following 3 methods of determining the image transmission size
are available. (Manual selection of the image transmission size
setting is made individually for both the width and length.)
Auto detect
This product will automatically detect the size of the scanned
document and set the size of the transmitted image to correspond to
that. "Auto" is the factory default mode, so there is no need to
change the setting if you want to use this mode.
Standard width and length selection
The transmitted image size can be selected from among the
following standard dimensions:
Width: 36", 24", 18", 9", 34", 22", 17" and 8 1/2"
Length: 48", 36", 24", 18", 9", 44", 34", 22", 17" and 8 1/2"
