Symptom
Printer takes
too long to start
when you are
replacing the
imaging unit.
Printer stops
and displays
one of the fol-
lowing mes-
sages:
INVALID ID
FUSER UNIT
INVALID ID
IMAGING
UNIT
INVALID ID
TONER CAR-
TRIDGE
Not all pages
print.
Printer resets
or turns off fre-
quently.
Solving Problems
Cause
The printer takes
approximately 6
minutes to warm up
when a new imaging
unit is installed.
The printer has
detected a
nongenuine
KONICA MINOLTA
consumable: fuser
unit, imaging unit, or
toner cartridge.
The printer has the
wrong kind of cable,
or the printer is not
configured for the
correct cable and
port.
The Cancel key was
pressed.
The media tray is
empty.
The power cord is
not properly con-
nected to the AC out-
let.
A system error
occurred.
Solution
Wait. No action needed.
To resume printing and to prevent
permanent damage to your
KONICA MINOLTA printer, replace
the consumable with a genuine
KONICA MINOLTA consumable.
If you are already using a genuine
KONICA MINOLTA consumable and still
receive this error, contact Technical
Support. Refer to the Service & Support
Guide or www.konicaminolta.net/printer/.
Check your cable.
Make sure no one pressed the Cancel key
while your job was printing.
Check the message window to see if the
tray you are using is out of media.
Turn off the unit, confirm that the power
cord is properly connected to the AC outlet,
and turn the unit back on.
