14.1 Overview
Description
Before supplying power, check that the power supply and ground
terminals are connected correctly and input/output devices are wired
properly.
Install a battery to the CPU module as needed.
(FX5U/FX5UC CPU modules only)
Insert or remove the SD memory card to or from the CPU module as
needed.
Wire each device.
Check the following items, and then power on the system.
• A cable is correctly connected to the power supply.
• Power supply voltage is within the specified range.
• The CPU module is in the STOP state.
When using an external power supply, turn on the power supply at the
same time as the CPU module or earlier than the CPU module. When
turning off the power, check the safety of the system and turn off the
power of the programmable controller (including extension devices) at
the same time.
Connect a personal computer that has an engineering tool installed to
the CPU module.
Initialize the CPU module using the engineering tool.
Set system parameters, CPU parameters, and module parameters.
When the following function of the CPU module are used, parameters
of the function must be set.
• Built-in Ethernet function
• Function that uses an SD memory card
• When any intelligent function module is mounted
Create a program using the engineering tool.
Write the parameters and the program created by using the
engineering tool to the programmable controller.
Restart the system in either of the following ways.
• Power off and on the system.
• Resetting the CPU Module
Run the CPU module, and check that the P.RUN LED turns on.
Check that the program operates normally using the engineering tool.
