Remove the door. Remove the retaining screw located inside the door at the bottom hinge pivot point,
then lift the door off. Retain the hardware for later use.

If installing interface wiring through the left interface entry conduit landing, proceed to Step 5; otherwise,
proceed to Step 7.

If not already accomplished, remove one top screw and two bottom screws securing the UPS left front
panel (see
Figure
12). Lift the panel straight up to remove it from the panel hanger bracket at the top of the
cabinet.

Remove the screws securing the internal safety shield panel and remove the panel. Retain the hardware
for later use.

Terminal block TB3 is accessible on the left side of the X-Slot communication bay. To gain access to
terminal blocks TB1 and TB2 and the interface entry conduit landing plates, loosen the screws securing the
small top internal safety shield panel and remove the panel. This panel is to the right of the X-Slot
communication bay (see

Remove the UPS cabinet top interface entry conduit landing plates to drill or punch holes (see

Reinstall the interface entry plates and install the conduit.
Do not directly connect relay contacts to the mains related circuits. Reinforced insulation to the mains is
required.
10. To locate the appropriate terminals and review the wiring and termination requirements, see
3.2.4 UPS System Power Wiring
11. Route and connect the wiring.
12. If wiring TB1 battery interface connections, proceed to
the X-Slot connections only, proceed to
13. Reinstall the small top internal safety shield panel and secure with the cabinet mounted screws.
14. Reinstall the front door removed in Step 3 and secure with the retained hardware.
15. Close the front door and secure the latch.
16. If removed, reinstall the safety shield panel removed in Step 6. Secure with the retained hardware.
17. If removed, reinstall the left front panel removed in Step 5 and secure with the retained hardware.
