When Media Is Not Fed Properly

When Media Curls While Feeding

Cause
Media has not been set straight into the
media input location.
Media curls before printing.
Media curls before printing.
Media curls before printing.
Recommended media is not being used.
The machine moves or the winding unit is not
aligned.
When using media that tends to be affected by heat from the UV lamp, cover the platen on both sides of
the media as shown below.
Solution
When the media is skewed, see page 66 "When
Media Skews While Feeding".
Check the waves on the media on the platen or roll
feeding unit.
1. Feed media by clicking [ ] on the Top screen to
solve floating media.
Increase the vacuum level. For details about changing
the vacuum level, see "Setting Media on a Table",
Operating Instructions.
Set media to the winding unit. Media floating
decreases.
Use recommended media. For details about
recommended media, see page 18 "Size and Weight
Specifications of Supported Roll Media".
When the machine moves and work to make it level is
required, or when the winding unit is not correctly
aligned, contact your service representative.
