When Roll Media Hangs Down and Makes Contact with the Floor

Cause
• Heavy media such as tarpaulin has
been used.
• If the amount to roll is large, the media
may not be rolled depending on its
type.
The media feeding switch and media winding
switch have not been selected correctly.
The inner part of the roll media spool is
chipped, causing the roll media to slip.

When a Media Misfeed Occurs

Problem
Media rises on the platen.
• Check that the left and right of the media is not
misaligned or the media is not loose, before
setting the media correctly. For details about
setting media, see page 37 "Setting Media".
• Remove the roll media, and then reattach it.

Replace the roll media spool.
Cause
• Media has not been set in
the winding unit.
• The following problems
exist with the leading edge
of roll media.
• The leading edge is
damaged.
• Adhesive tape is
sticking to it.
• The corners are
folded.
• The leading edge is
cured.
• Recommended media is
not used.
• The platen is stained.
