4. Troubleshooting
1. To conceal the platen on both sides of the media, place unused media on the sides and use
masking tape on the outer edges to secure to the platen.
2. Keep gaps of approximately 10 mm (0.4 inches) between the media in the center and the media
placed on the sides. Apply the masking tape on the gaps. Make sure that the masking tape does
not come into contact with the media being printed.
If media floating cannot be resolved, contact your service representative.

When Media Skews While Feeding

Media has not been set straight into the
media input location.
The machine moves or the winding unit is not
aligned.

Solution
Reset the media correctly. For details about setting
media, see page 37 "Setting Media".
If using media without resetting it first, feed about 1 m
(approx. 39.37 inches) of the media from the [Origin
Setting] screen.
When the machine moves and work to make it level is
required, or when the winding unit is not correctly
aligned, contact your service representative.
