Removing the Reel Drive Belt

The greensmaster machines use a positive drive belt on the right side of the
machine to operate the cutting unit.
Note: Refer to Figure 21
1. Park the machine on a level surface. Ensure that the engine is OFF. Remove
the spark plug wire from the engine spark plug.
2. Remove the 4 socket head screws (7) that secures the reel drive cover (6)
to reel drive assembly (1) and remove the reel drive cover to expose the
reel drive belt (2).
3. Remove and inspect the reel drive gasket (5) from the reel drive assembly
(1). Discard the reel drive gasket (5), if damaged.
4. Loosen the nut of carriage bolt (4) and rotate the idler arm (3) to release
the tension on the reel drive belt (2).
