and the module reboots.
5.2.3

Setting the Default Gateway

If the SNMP management station is on a different IP subnet than the module, a default gateway
must be specified. When an SNMP Trap is generated, the switch module sends out an ARP request
to the default gateway, which responds with its MAC address. The switch module then sends the
trap using the IP address from the Trap Table and the MAC address of the default gateway. To set
the default gateway, perform the following steps:
1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Default Gateway field.
2. Enter the IP address of the default gateway using the DDN format.
For example: nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn
