19-3. CTL Chase Operation

Set the slave PCM-3324S to insert or assemble recording mode, and stop the
tape.

Press and light the CTL CHASE button on the slave RM-3324S.

Start playback on the master unit.
Carrying out a CTL chase recording (or rehearsal)

Check that the slave CTL is synchronized to the master CTL.

To carry out a rehearsal, press and light the REHEARSAL (REC DISABLE)
button.

Holding down the REC button, press the PLAY button.
This carries out a rehearsal if the REHEARSAL (REC DISABLE) button is lit,
and recording if it is off.
Ending a chase recording (or rehearsal) without abandoning the chase
operation
Press the PLAY button. This switches to the CTL chase playback mode.
Temporarily halting the chase operation
Press the STOP button on the master unit.
When the tape transport on the master unit stops, the tape transport on the slave unit
also stops.
Ending the chase operation
Press the STOP button or CTL CHASE button on the slave unit. The tape transport
stops, the CTL CHASE button goes off, and the STOP button lights. The units
indicated on the LOCATE TIME display switch to seconds.
