24. Switches and Lamps on Internal Boards
TCR board in PCM-3348HR or optional DABK-3328 board in PCM-3324S

PB REGENE (playback regeneration) LOCK lamp
Lights when the playback time code is correctly regenerated. It goes off if playback
time code input fails, even if regeneration is being continued.
PB REGENE (playback regeneration) switch
Turns on and off time code regeneration.
CHASE MODE switch
Sets the time code chase mode,
ADRS: Address mode
FREE: Free mode
TC (time code) SYNC PLAY switch
Turns on and off the time code sync playback.
S1 switches
Set the operations related to the time code.
No.1: Determines whether time code interpolation is to be performed in fast-forward
and rewind modes.
ON: To perform the interpolation and output the time code.
OFF: Not to perform the interpolation and to mute the time code output in fast-
forward and rewind modes.
No.2: Select the frame frequency of the time code interpolation output in fast-
forward and rewind modes when the playback time code is of the NTSC format.
ON: 30 Hz
OFF: 29.97 Hz (NDF/DF)
This switch has no effect on other time code formats than NTSC.
No.3: Determines the condition for the playback time code regeneration output from
the TIME CODE OUTPUT connector.
ON: To output the regenerated time code only when the or PB REGENE switch
is set to ON and the PB REGENE LOCK lamp is lit. No signal is output in
other condition.
OFF: To output the time code regardless of the PB REGENE switch setting
Note, however, that a bit error may occur at the moment of switching from the
playback time code to the regenerated time code when this switch is set to OFF.
