14. Backup Copy Function
When using PCM-3324S with RM-3324S
Connections
Refer to page 3-35 of RM-3324S Operation Manual.
Power off all units before making the connections.
Procedure
1
Mount the original tape on the player unit, and set the MASTER SAFE switch
to the ON position.

On the master PCM-3324S unit, set the D-OUT ADV/NORM switch on the ED
board to ADV.

Mount a bland tape on the recorder unit, and set the switches and buttons as
follows:
•
MASTER SAFE switch: OFF
•
SAMPLING FREQ switch: Sampling frequency of the original tape
•
TIMER MODE button: CTL ABSOLUTE
•
REC MODE switch: ADVANCE
•
INPUT SELECT switch: DIGITAL
•
TIME CODE selection switch: EXT
•
SYNC CLOCK switch: EXT
•
ALL CHANNEL REC READY button: ON
•
TIME CODE REC READY button: ON
•
CTL COPY switch (CTK board) : ON
•
A1 A2 REC READY button: ON

Begin the playback on the player unit.

On the recorder unit, holding down the REC button, press the PLAY button.
