24. Switches and Lamps on Internal Boards
SW103 switches (PCM-3324S)/SW3 switches (PCM-3348HR)
These switches determine the number of consecutive words for which the level of a
digital audio track has to be out of range before the OVER lamp of the level meter
lights. The value that can be set ranges from 1 to 8, and DIP switches No.1 to No.8
correspond to one to eight words. Thus to set a limit of four words, set switch No.4
only to the right (PCM-3324S) or upper (PCM-3348HR) position.
SW104 switches (PCM-3324S)/SW4 switches (PCM-3348HR)
Switch No.5 determines the mode for A/D converter gain calibration (when the level
meter display switch is in the CAL position).
Left (PCM-3324S) or lower (PCM-3348HR): Each segment represents 0.2 dB
centered on –20 dB.
Right (PCM-3324S) or upper (PCM-3348HR) (FLASH): When the input level
reaches at least 0.2 dB of a segment of the meter, that segment flashes.
CK board (PCM-3348HR only)
OPR (operation) lamp
Remains lit when the CK board is normally operating. Flashes when an external
sync signal is input and the CK board is not synchronized with the signal.
ADA-1 t0 ADA-6 (PCM-3324S)/DAD-1 to DAD-12 boards (PCM-3348HR)
Note
For the PCM-3348HR, the DAD-1 to DAD-12 board are available only when the
optional DABK-3343HR is mounted.
Fine INPUT LEVEL controls
These adjust the input levels of the analog signal for each digital audio channel.
Adjustment range: –2 dB to +2 dB (PCM-3324S)/0 dB to +10 dB (PCM-3348HR)
Fine OUTPUT LEVEL controls
These adjust the output levels of the analog signal for each digital audio channel.
Adjustment range: –2 dB to +2 dB (PCM-3324S)/–10 dB to 0 dB (PCM-3348HR)
Coarse OUTPUT LEVEL controls (PCM-3324S only)
These adjust the output levels of the analog signal for each digital audio channel.
Adjustment range: –10 dB to +2 dB
