Replacing an Avaya S8800 Server
# Task
2 Disconnect all power
cords and external cables.
3 Remove the server from
the rack.
4 Remove the reusable
components from the
failed server.
5 Install the reusable
components in the new
server.
6 Install the new server in
the rack.
7 Reconnect the external
cables and power cords.
8 Turn on the server.

Removing the server from the rack

Procedure
1. Turn off the server and all attached devices.
2. Label and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
