Removing and installing the server cover

5. Slide the cover toward the back of the server until the cover has disengaged from the
chassis.
6. Lift the server cover off the server and set it aside.
Important:
For proper cooling and airflow, replace the cover before you turn on the server.
Operating the server for extended periods of time (over 30 minutes) with the cover
removed might damage server components.
