3 Migrating from an S8700 Media Server to an S8710 Media Server
On the S8700 Media Server

Back up the security files

If installing new license and Avaya authentication files, skip this step and go to
Media Server
Manager or if the customer is getting newly purchased features, you must install a new license file.

Under Data Backup/Restore, click Backup Now.

Select Security Files and FTP as the backup method.

Fill in the
for where you are backing up the files.

Click Start Backup to begin the backup process.

Click Backup History to view the progress of the backup process.

Because the S8710 Media Server does not have a PCMCIA flash drive, you must back up
the files to the customer's network so they can be restored to the S8710 Media Server later
in the process.
