Alarm Reporting Heartbeat [56.4.02.7]
The Ethernet module checks that the alarm transmission paths are always available. Use this
option to set the checking frequency.
1=Interval Enter a time interval that a path supervision signal (heartbeat) must be
received from each alarm transmission path (refer to Line Fail – Signalling
Path [56.4.07.2]). The default period is 30 minutes. If a heartbeat is not
received within the programmed interval a line fail condition is activated.
The Line Fail event indicates which path has failed (Primary, Secondary or
Alarm Monitoring).
Alarm Reporting Protocol [56.4.02.8]
The Ethernet module can signal using either TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) or UDP
(Universal Datagram Protocol). 0=UDP and 1=TCP.
If communicating with V3.26 Alarm Monitoring or V6.26 Remote Servicing, select TCP.
If encryption is required for alarm signalling, select UDP.
Note: Irrespective of the programming in this option, Remote Servicing and SIA control
command protocol always use TCP.
Remote Access [56.4.03]
Use this option to setup panel remote servicing. You can control when remote access is
granted and whether access is initiated from the panel or the Remote Servicing computer.
Remote Access Period [56.4.03.1]
Use this option to set when the panel is accessed remotely.
1=Off Remote Servicing access is disabled.
2=All Unset Remote Servicing access is only granted when all groups or the
complete system are unset.
3=Any Set Remote Servicing access will only be granted if any of the groups or the
complete system are set.
4=Any Time Access available at any time (default).
