Communications [56]
Microtech [56.1.01.3]
Microtech format is a protocol that transmits detailed point identification information to a
computer that has the Alarm Monitoring software installed.
The menu structure and programming of the options is identical to the SIA format (see
above).
Note: Microtech can not be chosen if Dual Receiver is selected.
Contact ID [56.1.01.4]
Contact ID format is a protocol that transmits point identification information to an Alarm
Receiving Centre that is capable of receiving the Galaxy variant of contact ID.
The menu structure and programming of the options is identical to the SIA format except for
the addition of the 2=Ack timeout option. Use this option to select how long the telecom
module waits for the handshake tone from the receiver. The settings are 1 (30 seconds) or 2
(60 seconds).
Telephone No. 1 [56.1.02]
Telephone number 1 must be entered. It is the main telephone number to which alarms are
sent. Up to 22 digits may be entered, including control modifiers. Enter control modifiers
using

Pause (for two seconds before dialling the next digit). Multiple entries can be made, for
example, entering
Dial tone detect (wait for new dial tone). Each dial tone detect lasts for 15 seconds.

Multiple entries can be made, for example, entering
a new dial tone is not detected in this time, then the dialling attempt is aborted. This is
counted as a fail to communicate.
Account No. [56.1.03]
This is the site identifier. A unique account number must be entered, which can be up to a
maximum of six digits although four digits is the standard.
Note: Enter the account number to automatically copy the number to all triggers in the
selected format. Any individual account numbers that have been programmed are
overwritten.
Receiver [56.1.04]
The transmission destination can be set to one of three modes:
1=Single
Reports to the telephone number programmed in Telephone Number 1.
2=Dual
Reports to both numbers programmed in Telephone Number 1 and
Telephone Number 2. The alarm must be transmitted to both numbers.
3=Alternate
Reports to Telephone Number 1, Telephone Number 2 or Telephone
Number 3. Each number is tried until the alarm is transmitted. The alarm is
only transmitted to one number. Telephone number 1 is always the first
number attempted.
