Setting up VIP functions

Setting up VIP functions

You can set up special functions between telephones of your system, provided you have made
the appropriate preparations. For this to be possible, certain pre-settings on both the sending
and the receiving telephone have to be the same. The following pages describe typical ways in
which VIP functions can be used. The sending telephone is called the 'executive telephone'
here and the receiving telephone the 'secretary telephone'.

Using the VIP functions

Using announcements or the two-way intercom system:
Press the relevant destination key for the secretary telephone or select the phone book
entry.
Press the "Handsfree / monitoring" function key or lift the receiver. "Handsfree" is automa-
tically activated on the secretary telephone. The two parties can now speak to one another.
With "Announcement", the loudspeaker is activated on the secretary telephone. You can make
an announcement.

Announcements from the executive telephone

If the user has been granted authorisation by your system administrator, he can program an
"Announcement" function key. As a result, VIP announcements with reply can be made signifi-
cantly faster.
Press the function key and then enter the dial digits using the digit or destination keys. If the
called subscriber has activated "Receive VIP functions", the call results in "Announcement
with reply". A call window opens for both the person called and the person being called.
