Changing the DTMF pulse duration

Changing the DTMF pulse duration

You can change the DTMF pulse duration (DTMF = dual-tone multi-frequency dialling
method). This may be necessary if an answering machine does not react to signals from your
telephone. A pulse duration of 1000 ms (slow) is required for certain answering machines, 500
ms (average) for others. Your telephone is preset to 100 ms (fast).
Press the "Menu" function key.
Scroll to the Settings menu item.
Confirm entry.
Scroll to the Dial settings menu item.
Confirm entry.
Scroll to the DTMF duration (quick) menu item.
Confirm entry.
Select desired DMF pulse duration, e.g. medium.
Confirm entry.
