INSTALLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS

The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Install:
S front fork leg
Temporarily tighten the lower bracket pinch
bolts.
NOTE:
Make sure that the inner fork tube is flush with
the top of the handlebar holder.
2. Install:
S upper bracket
Temporarily tighten the steering stem nut.
3. Tighten
S lower bracket pich bolt
4. remove
S upper bracket
5. Install
S upper fork cover 1
S upper bracket 2
6. Tighten
S cap bolt 3
WARNING
Make sure that the brake hoses are routed
properly.
7. Adjust:
S spring preload
Refer "ADJUSTING THE FRONT FORK" in
CHAPTER 3.

10 Nm (1.0 mSkg)
23 Nm (2.3 mSkg)
