CHECKING THE SHIFT SHAFT

1. Check:
S shift shaft 1
S shift lever 2
Bends/damage/wear ! Replace.
S shift lever spring 3
Damage/wear ! Replace.

CHECKING THE STOPPER LEVER

1. Check:
S stopper lever 1
Bends/damage ! Replace.
Roller turns roughly ! Replace the stopper
lever.

INSTALLING THE SHIFT SHAFT

1. Install:
S stopper lever spring 1
S stopper lever 2
2. Install:
S shift shaft
NOTE:
S Install the stopper lever spring and stopper le-
ver as shown.
S Hook the end of the shift lever spring onto the
shift lever spring stopper 1 .
