Basic FAX Operations

Setting CLOSED NETWORK (TX)

If Closed Network TX is set to ON, you can only transmit a document to one of the
destinations registered in One Touch Dial, Speed Dial and Phone Book.
Closed Network TX provides a means of controlling machine communications and,
when transmitting an important document, avoiding transmission to the wrong
destination.
But this means you cannot dial the FAX NO. directly from the numeric panel.
1. Press the Utility key 4 times.
The display changes to the TX Operation
mode.
2. Press '4' from the Numeric keys.
The display changes to the Closed Network
TX mode.
3. Press the

the Closed Network, then press the Yes key.
4. This completes the setting for Closed
Network TX.
Press the Panel Reset key to return the initial
screen.

Setting DEFAULT TX

This function is used to set the default TX mode of the fax unit. Two operations are
available:

Memory TX
ADF TX (Direct
Transmission)

When set in this mode, documents are scanned into memory
for transmission and dialing starts after the first pages is
scanned (Quick TX).
When set in this mode, documents are scanned for
transmission after connection has been made to the
receiving unit. (When the available memory is insufficient,
please select ADF TX for a successful transmission)
