Basic FAX Operations
How to select the Printing mode
1. Press the Utility key 5 times into the" RX
OPERATION" mode.
2. Press "4" from the Numeric keys to show "4
REDUCTION RX" on the Message Display.
3. Using the
printing mode.
• Select ON, this selects the Reduction
Priority mode.
• Select OFF, this selects the Full Size Priority mode.
• Selects CUT, this selects the Cut mode.
4. Once the desired selection is made, press the
Yes key to validate it.
5. Press the No/Clear key to exit from the "RX
OPERATION" mode. Then the initial screen
reappears.
Selecting the Reception Mode (Setting RX Mode)
1) Overview of the Reception Mode
Your machine may be in either of the following two modes when receiving a document
from the other party. Select the appropriate mode according to how you are going to
receive the document.
Fax mode (Auto RX mode)
Select this mode when using your machine mainly as a fax machine. When a document
comes in, your machine rings several times before starting an automatic reception. The
number of rings can be set as required. See "Setting No. of Rings"íP 2-32
