Transmitting a Document Using Memory (Memory TX)

Memory TX scans the contents of the document into the built-in memory then
transmits it to the other party at a high Speed. (This procedure is different from "
Direct Transmission" in which you directly transmit the document without using
memory.)
1. Check that the message display is shown
Fax screen.
If not, press the Copy/Fax key to switch.
2. Press the Memory TX key.
The Memory TX indicator lights up to indicate that the
Memory TX function is selected; otherwise, the Direct
Transmission is selected.
This function is used to set the TX mode of the machine. Two options are available:
Choices Available
Memory TX
ADF TX (Direct Transmission)
NOTE:
• In Memory Transmission Mode, you can retrieve your original
document sooner than you can do in ADF TX (Direct Transmission)
Mode.
3. Make the necessary settings other than Memory TX, load the document, and then
dial the other party.
Description
When this mode is set, documents are
scanned into memory for transmission and
Memory TX
dialing starts after the first page is scanned
(Quick TX).
When this mode is set, documents are
scanned for transmission after connection
has been made to the receiving unit. (When
Memory TX
the available memory is insufficient, please
select ADF TX for a successful
transmission)
If the line is not available, the message
"LINE IS BUSY" will be displayed and
redial attemps will be made according to
the intervals that were preset.
