6-8-4 Deleting a Specified Edit Interval

Chapter 6 Editing
A specified interval can be deleted from a material open in the Recorder Edit
mode. Two types of deletion are available: EXTRACT, with which the area
following the deleted interval is moved back, closing the gap and reducing the
overall duration; and LIFT, with which the deleted interval is filled with black
video and muted audio.
Note
In both cases, the edit points (the IN and OUT points) must be specified as
points that are included within the total span of the destination material, plus
one frame.
