Holding down the MODE key, press the L2 (EDIT) key, the PLAYER
button, or the RECORDER button to enter Edit mode.

Hold down the SHIFT key and press B3 (1st Edit).
A dialog box opens and asks you to confirm that you want to clear the
program.

To confirm clearing the program, hold down the SHIFT key and press B7
(OK).
The Text Entry dialog box opens and displays the default
EditResultMaterial#xxxx
where "xxxx" is a number incremented automatically.

You can now change the material name as you desire. Use the Text Entry
dialog box to enter a new material name. The material name has a
maximum length of 23 alphanumeric characters.
For details about how to enter text in a Text Entry dialog box, see Section 3-7-2,
"Text Entry Dialog Box" (page 3-44).

Press B7 (OK) to clear the program.
The new material name takes effect and the Text Entry dialog box closes.
Notes
• To cancel the procedure above, press B6 (Cancel) at step 3 or step 5 to close
the dialog box.
• If a material file with the material name you choose in step 4 already exists, a
dialog box opens to tell you that the material name you have chosen is
already in use. In this case you cannot clear the program.
• The slash "/", percent "%", underscore "_", and dollar sign "$" are reserved
by the system. When modifying material names, never use "/" and do not use
"%", "_", or "$" as the first character.
