To leave recorder edit mode and return to normal edit mode

6-8-2 Performing Voice-over Editing

In the Recorder Edit mode, hold down the RECORDER button and then press
the EDIT button to return to the normal Edit mode. You can also just press the
PLAYER button to return to the normal Edit mode.
With this unit you can add audio and perform video voice-over editing. Before
you perform voice-over editing, note the following points.
• Before executing AUTO EDIT, you must execute PREVIEW. After
PREVIEW, if the edit points or edit channel have changed, you must execute
PREVIEW once again.
• In the Insert mode, INS (Insert) cannot be set.

Follow the procedure below to perform voice-over editing of a material
opened in the Recorder Edit mode.

Specify the edit points (IN and OUT point) and the channel where you
want to perform voice-over editing.
Note
The IN point must be set within one frame of the end of the destination
material.
For details about how to set edit points, see Section 6-2-6, "Setting the Edit
Points" (page 6-8).

As the PREVIEW button is flashing, you can execute PREVIEW. At this
time the input signal for the interval between the IN and OUT points is
recorded.

When PREVIEW is completed and the PREVIEW and AUTO EDIT
buttons flash, you can execute AUTO EDIT.

Press the AUTO EDIT button to execute editing.
When you execute editing, the material recorded in step 2 is inserted with
OVL (overlay) in the interval between the IN and OUT points.
