Chapter 6 Editing
In Recorder Edit mode, you can only edit on the recorder device without
specifying a player. This allows you to edit the destination material directly. In
the Recorder Edit mode only the RECORDER edit points are displayed on the
LCD.
In the Recorder Edit mode, five types of editing are possible: voice-over,
preread, EXTRACT, LIFT, and audio swap.
Voice-over
On the recorder you can write over (overlay) with an input signal in an interval
specified between an IN point and OUT point. The Audio or Video channel
can be specified.
Preread
You can send a signal to the external mixer or another device, mix it and then
send it to the original channel or another channel for recording.
EXTRACT
On the recorder you can delete a defined interval between the IN point and
OUT point. After the deletion only the deleted interval duration is shortened.
LIFT
On the recorder you can delete a defined interval between the IN and OUT
points. For the deleted interval you can insert BLACK/MUTING data and the
total duration does not change.
Audio swap
You can swap the audio data of Ch1 and Ch2 with the audio data of Ch3 and
Ch4.
In the normal Edit mode, hold down the RECORDER button and then press
the EDIT button to enter the Recorder Edit mode.
In the Video/Audio mode you can enter the Recorder Edit mode only with a
new edit (new page).
