Switching to the Insert mode
Regardless of whether you use the Insert or Overlay mode, program page
numbers are renumbered according to the order of the time data in the
destination material. In Overlay mode, page data on either side of the insertion
point are automatically modified upon page insertion.

In any mode other than Edit mode, hold down the MODE button and press
the L2 button to enter the Edit mode.

Press the B3 (Editing Mode) key.
Pressing the B3 key repeatedly toggles between the Insert and Overlay
modes.
Note
You can switch to the Insert mode only when editing new material.
