Chapter 5 Playback
Material assigned to two playback ports can be synchronized for playback. On
the MAV-777, playback can be synchronized by frame between two playback
ports for playback in the normal, variable, and jog playback modes. Therefore
the HD VTR, in addition to normally performing simultaneous multiple
broadcasting, two signals (a key source signal and key field signal) are
registered for each material and broadcast as synchronized signals to the
switcher.
Notes
• Before you perform synchronized playback, set menu item 105
SYNCHRONIZE of the MAV-777 Expansion menu to ON.
• If you require synchronization precision of the order of fields, before you
perform synchronized playback, jump to the beginning of the materials and
align the frames and then begin playback.
• During synchronized playback, the maximum jog mode playback speed is
±1x normal speed.
• During synchronized playback, if you switch the timecode display (LTC,
TM1, etc.) the change affects both ports.
• When you leave the synchronized playback mode, playback on both ports
halts at once.
• Synchronized playback cannot be used in the Edit mode, and you cannot
move from the synchronized playback mode to the Edit mode.
