6-1 Overview of Editing Operations

You can use the control panel to edit material on (or being recorded) the
MAV-777 or to edit material from an external HD VTR.
When editing in Video/Audio mode, use the control panel to handle each
Player or Recorder edit points (IN/OUT) as one edit unit called a "page".
The MAV-777 uses original data (source data to create a program (without
losing or destroying any of the original material) and stores this program as
new material (destination material).
Notes
• On the main control panel, internal material created through recording or
editing cannot be edited directly as destination material. When you want
to edit internal material, use 1st Edit to create a new destination material
and, after you have loaded the internal material that you want to edit as
the source material, set the material start and end time data as the various
recorder and player IN and OUT points. Editing is possible once the
internal material is assigned as destination page data.
• Up to 100 pages can be handled in Video/Audio mode. If you want to
continue editing after reaching the 100 page limit, use 1st Edit to save the
destination material as the source material as described above.
