Chapter 6 Editing
When you are editing in Audio Channel mode, you can edit material that
contain transition effects.
Listed below are differences between editing materials that employ effects and
conventional editing in the Audio Channel mode.
(1) Before performing AUTO EDIT, you must perform REVIEW of the
shortest transition (A/V included). If you change the edit points or the
channel after PREVIEW, then you must execute PREVIEW again.
(2) The preroll interval for the IN points must be set in menu item 001 Preroll
Time of the MAV-777 Basic menu for the player and the recorder. You
cannot edit material containing effects during the first editing operation
after 1st Edit because there is no existing destination material.
(3) The recorder IN point must be set within 1 frame after the end of the
destination material. In other words, just as in step 2, the player and
recorder IN points must be set together within "Beginning of Material,
Preroll Time Only Following Points" and "Material End + 1 Frame".
(4) In the PREVIEW of the transition parts, a RECORDER has been added to
the conventional playback port (P1), and the recording port (R1) is also
used. For this reason, when PREVIEW of materials that contain effects is
not completed, if the RECORDER is selected, the RECORDER, P1, and
R1 buttons light.
(5) The same port cannot be selected by the PLAYER and RECORDER.
(6) Abbreviated editing and on-the-fly editing cannot be performed on
materials that contain effects.
(7) The MAV-777 Basic menu item 001 Preroll Time must be set to at least 1
second.
Notes
• When Audio/Video mode is selected as the channel mode in menu item 2003
Channel Selection Mode of the CP Setup mode, materials that contain effects
cannot be edited.
• Overlay (OVL) must be set to Insert mode. To switch Edit mode, in Edit
mode press the B3 (Editing Mode) key.
• A duration longer than the duration of the Edit mode interval cannot be set.
• PREVIEW of material loaded on R1 with Remote is not possible.
• In Audio Channel mode, material cannot be handled as pages.
• To edit material that contain effects from the control panel, the effects start
transition from the IN points. When you are split editing, the audio starts
