Removing a Processor

To remove a processor module:
1.
Power off the server and disconnect all cables. See
(page
27).
2.
Remove the top metal cover. See
(page
33).
3.
Remove the processor airflow guide. See
a.
Remove the IDE cable and power module cables from the processor airflow
guide cable clips.
CAUTION:
are returned to their correct routes.
b.
Hold the guide using the opening on top of the guide.
c.
At the same time, grasp the back end of the airflow guide and lift the guide
out of the server.

4.
Disconnect the processor power cable from the server power cable.
5.
Disconnect the turbo fan power cable from the system board.
6.
Unscrew the two heat sink captive screws, and the four processor captive screws.

Record the cable routing of these cables to ensure the cables
