B23: CHECK THE CIRCUIT 31S-CA12 (BK/BU) FOR OPEN
B24: CHECK THE A/C INHIBIT DIODE
PINPOINT TEST C: THE HEATER BLOWER SYSTEM IS INOPERATIVE
CONDITIONS
C1: DETERMINE THE FAULT CONDITION

Climate Control System — General Information
1.
DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS
1 Measure the resistance between A/C
compressor cycling switch, connector C91, pin
1, circuit 31S-CA17 (BK/RD), harness side and
dual pressure switch, connector C77, pin 2,
circuit 31S-CA12 (BK/BU), harness side.
• Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
GO TO B24
No
REPAIR the open circuit(s) between dual
pressure switch and PCM by using the wir-
ing diagrams. TEST the system for normal
operation.
1 Check the A/C inhibit diode referring to the
diode test.
• Is the A/C diode OK?
Yes
REPAIR the open circuit(s) between dual
pressure switch and relay – A/C switch by
using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system
for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new A/C inhibit diode. TEST the
system for normal operation.
DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS
2 Turn the heater blower switch from SLOW
SPEED to HIGH SPEED position.
3 Check the airflow.
• Is the heater blower in all positions
inoperative?
Yes
GO TO C2
No
GO TO C8
