Server Setup Tool
Setting up the Active Directory
If you installed the TCP/IP protocol and want to designate this server as a domain
controller in your network, you must install Active Directory. For more information about
Active Directory, refer to the Windows Server 2003 help.

Post Installation (Windows 2000)

After installing Windows 2000 Server:

Start Windows 2000 Server and log on as an administrator (or a user with
administrator rights).

If no network has been created, set up the network.

Set up the TCP/IP for the network, as necessary. For procedures, refer to the
Windows 2000 Server First Step Guide or Help.

To install the SNMP Service, use the Windows 2000 Server "Add/Remove Windows
2000 Components" option. For details, refer to the Windows 2000 Server First Step
Guide or Help.

If a RAID controller has been added to the server, install the RAID controller
software programs "Service" and "Power Console" using the Magnia 3310 Server
Setup Tool (SST) CD-ROM.
Use Explorer to navigate to the <CD-ROM>\Public\RAID\LSI\518\PCP for
MegaRAID 518 Card and <CD-ROM>\Public\RAID\LSI\520\PCP for MegaRAID 520
Card directory. Locate Setup.exe in this directory.

Install the TOSHIBA Display Power Save Driver. Insert the CD-ROM, and run the
"Setup.exe" which can be located at
<CD-ROM>\PUBLIC\UTILS\TOSHIBA\DPS.
