System Configuration Setup
User password
NOTE: The user password cannot be set until the supervisor password is set.
When you select this function, the password dialog appears.
Type the user password (do not exceed eight characters), then press Enter. When
prompted to confirm the password, enter the user password again.
IDE HDD Auto Detection
This item reads the parameters of the connected IDE HDD.
Entering Y accepts the drive parameters reported by the BIOS.
Entering N keeps the old drive parameters.
SAVE & EXIT SETUP
This item saves the new configuration settings before closing Setup.
Entering Y saves the new configuration and exits Setup.
Entering N ignores any changes made and exits Setup.
EXIT WITHOUT SAVING
This item closes Setup without saving the changes.
Entering Y ignores any changes made and exits Setup.

How to return to the Toshiba defaults

To reset all setup options to their default values, follow these steps.
1 Select "Load Setup Defaults" from the Setup menu.
2 Using "Standard CMOS Setup" in the Setup menu, set the system date and time.
3 Using "BIOS Features Setup" in the Setup menu, change setting as specified below:
S.M.A.R.T. for Hard Disks: Enabled
4 Using "Chipset Features Setup" in the Setup menu, change settings as specified
below:
SDRAM Timing by SPD: Enabled
DRAM Integrity Mode: Ecc
USB Controller: USB Port 0&1
