Hardware Diagnostics
- 01. VRAM W/R/C subtest writes constant data to video RAM. This data is then read
from the video RAM and compared with the original data.
- 02. 640*480 MODE DISPLAY subtest displays data in 256 color display mode in 640
* 480 resolution.
- 03. 1024*768 MODE DISPLAY subtest displays data in 256 color display mode in
1,024 * 768 resolution. Press Enter to change the display mode (256 color).
04. FLOPPY DISK TEST checks the floppy disk drive. Prepare a formatted floppy
disk for the test. Before starting the test, select the following parameters.

Media Type
Test start track number
NOTE: This server does not support drive B. Select drive A.
NOTE: This system does not support the 1.2 MB format type.
- 01. SEQUENTIAL ADDRESS READ subtest reads data from all tracks continuously
on a diskette.
- 02. RANDOM ADDRESS/DATA W/R/C subtest writes random data to random
addresses on all tracks on the diskette. The data is then read and compared to the
original data.
NOTE: When the Hardware Diagnostics Program has been started from the
Hardware Diagnostics Program diskette, replace the FLOPPY DISK TEST diskette
with the Hardware Diagnostics Program diskette when testing is complete.
Parameter
Designates the floppy disk drive as drive A or B.
Designates the format type (1.44 MB or 720 KB) for
the diskette for the test.
Designates the first track number for the test.
Change disks as instructed at the start of the test
when the message to remove the Hardware
Diagnostics test diskette and replace it with the test
diskette displays.
