Align fan assembly with mounting pins on the chassis base and push down until firmly seated (see letter "A").
Repeat for second system fan assembly
Connect the fan cables in order to the 10-pin fan connectors on the server board

7.2 Replacing a System Fan

System fans used in the Intel Server System R1000WT product family are NOT hot-swappable.
Power off the system and remove the system top cover (see section 2.2.1)
Disconnect the cable of the target fan (Note: disconnecting the cables from the remaining fans in the fan assembly
is not required)
Lift the system fan assembly from the chassis
From the bottom of the fan assembly, push out the target fan (see letter "A").
Locate the replacement fan (Intel product Code – FR1UFAN10PW).
Install replacement fan into fan assembly, ensuring all rubber guides are in place and the cable is located on the
side closest to the server board. (see letter "B").
Align the fan assembly mounting holes with pins on the chassis base and push down until firmly seated. Ensure
that no fan cables are trapped beneath the fan assembly.
Attach the fan cable to the fan connector on the server board.
Ensure that all fan cables are securely connected
