The data is permanently memorized in non-vola-
tile memory (refresh of E2prom each km trav-
elled). If the memory does not contain any data,
the number 00000 is shown. The information
is always calculated in km. It can however be
displayed in km(default value) or in miles. You
can change the unit of measure from the setup
menu.
You cannot reset this information to zero during
normal conditions of use of the instrument.
TRIP FUNCTION (TD)
This function describes the operation/display
of the on-board automatic partial totalizer. This
function is always shown using digits 1÷5 and
the message TD (fig. C). The displayed date rep-
resents the distance travelled by the vehicle in
miles or in km, depending on the selected unit of
measure. The resolution is 0.1 (miles or km).

Partial distance travelled (fig. C)
This counter is activated automatically with the first
impulse from the speed sensor. The data is not
memorized permanently.
You can reset the counter for this parameter by press-
ing the button for about 2 seconds at the TD function,
until the value 000.0 appears. TD can be reset either
62
while the vehicle is moving or standing still; this also
resets LAP. If the data exceeds 999.9 the system re-
sets TD and LAP and the count starts over.
If there is no power supply, the value for
TD is permanently lost.
AUTOMATIC STOPWATCH FUNCTION (LAP)
This function describes the operation/display
of the stopwatch associated with TD. The infor-
mation is shown using the digits 1÷5 and the
message LAP. The data shows the actual travel
time of the vehicle and is displayed in the format
mm:ss if hours=0 and in the format hh:mm if
hours>0 (fig. D).
km/h
It activates independently with the first impulse
from the speed sensor and stops 3 sec. after the
receipt of the last impulse from the speed sen-
sor.

If hours > 0, when LAP is operative the symbol
- which separates the hours from the minutes
flashes. It is steady when LAP is not in opera-
tion. If hours = 0, when LAP is in operation the
symbols ' and " that separate the minutes from
the seconds flash. They are steady when the LAP
is not in operation. The data is not memorized
permanently. You can reset the counter for this
parameter by pressing the button for about
2 seconds at the LAP function, until the value
00'00" appears. LAP can be reset whether the
vehicle is moving or standing still. This also re-
sets TD. If the data exceeds the value 23-59 (i.e.
23h59'59"), the system resets LAP and TD, and
the count starts over.
If there is no power supply, the value for LAP
is permanently lost.
MAXIMUM SPEED FUNCTION (MAX)
This function describes the operation/display of
the maximum speed function. The information
is shown using the digits 1÷5 and the message
MAX, as shown in fig. E. The parameter identi-
fies the maximum speed attained by the vehicle,
expressed in km/h or in mph depending on the
selected unit of measure.
