3.20 HARD DISK FORMAT
This command executes hard disk fonnatting.
There are two types of hard disk fonnatting:
1. Physical fonnatting
2. Logical fonnatting
This program is for physical fonnatting of the hard disk. It can execute the following items:
1. All track FORMAT
2. Good track FORMAT
3. Bad track FORMAT
4. Bad track CHECK
CAUTION: The contents of the hard disk will be erased when this program is exe-
cuted. Before executing the program, transfer the contents of the hard
disk onto afloppy disk. This can be done with the MS-DOS BACK-
UP command. (See the MS-DOS manualfor details.)
3.20.1 Program Description
1. All track FORMAT
Perfonns physical fonnatting of the hard disk as shown in Table 3-5 below:
