ASYNC TEST
In subtest 01 through subtest 05, data transmission is done with the following fonnat:
Speed: 9600 bps
Data: 8 bits and one parity bit (EVEN)
One stop bit
Data pattern: 20h to 7Eh

Wrap around (Channel #1)
NOTE:
The RS-232-C wraparound connector must be connected
to Channell to execute this test. The wiring diagram of
the RS-232-C wraparound connector is described in Sec-
tion3.4.
A data send/receive test is perfonned with the wraparound connector for
Channell.
Wrap around (Channel #2)
The same test as subtest 01 is perfonned for Channel 2.
Point to Point (Send)
NOTE:
To execute this subtest, two machines must be connected
with the RS-232-C direct cable. One machine should be
set as 'send' and the other set as 'receive'. The wiring
diagramfor the RS-232-C direct cable is described in
Section 3.24. By executing subtest 03 in one machine and
subtest 04 in the other machine, the communication capa-
bility will be checked asfollows.
A block of data (20h to 7Eh) is sent from one machine to the other, and is then
returned. The returned data is compared with the original data.
This test is used for checking whether the returned data is the same as the
original data.
Point to Point (Receive)
This subtest is used with subtest 03 as described above.
