WARNING
Using the E-Support before understanding the characteristics of the
Power Assist System may be dangerous. Ensure safe use by
understanding the characteristics of the Power Assist System.
· Do not lift the casters using the push rings while the power is on. Depending
on the circumstances, there is a danger of losing balance and falling over
when the power assist function is activated. Always turn off the power
before lifting the casters.
· Push rings tend to slip when operated with wet hands or in rainy weather.
Depending on the circumstances, you may lose your grip on the push ring,
and it may lead to a crash.
WARNING
Use in the following areas or environment may involve danger. Always
be accompanied by an attendant and ensure safety.
· Crossing railroad crossings. (There is a danger of the casters
catching in the tracks.)
· Pedestrian roads without fences. (There is a danger of falling
into the road.)
· Platforms (There is a danger of falling into the track.)
· Cross-hatched covers on side ditches or drainage ditches. (There is a
danger of the casters catching in the cover.)
· Gravel roads (There is a danger of the tires getting stuck.)
· Do not go downhill with the power turned off. (There is great danger when
the speed increases to the point where you cannot stop by yourself.)
· Areas where the wheelchair inclines sharply to the right or left. (There is a
danger of turning over sideways.)
· Riding at night (There is a danger of a rollover due to inability to confirm
the conditions of the road surface. There is also a danger of a crash due to
not being able to recognize a third party.)
· Getting on and off a lift bus. (There is a danger of falling off of the lift.)
· Other areas where wheelchair use is not appropriate, or unfamiliar places.
WARNING
Traveling without anti-tippers or riding with the anti-tip bars shorter
than the "standard length" may cause a rollover. Never travel without
making adjustments.
· "Standard length" is the length of the anti-tip bar which is adjusted
to stop lifting at 5 to 10 cm from the ground surface when the
casters are lifted.
· When going over high curbs with support, it is necessary to
shorten the anti-tip bar. Even in such cases, remember to return the bar to
the standard length immediately.
