(7) There is a danger of the casters lifting and rolling over backwards when
going uphill, over curbs, or if you load luggage on the seat back.
WARNING
Traveling without anti-tippers or riding with the anti-tip bars shorter than the
"standard length" may cause a rollover. Never travel without making
adjustments.
Note:
· When you shift the center of gravity towards the front, there is less chance
of rolling over backwards.
· Those who have difficulty in shifting the center of gravity must be
accompanied by an attendant.
(8) While traveling, check the condition of the battery, based on the battery
warning light and buzzer.
WARNING
When the battery warning light blinks and the buzzer makes a
"beeping" sound, replace the battery as soon as possible. If you
continue power assisted travel and the battery has completely run
out, the battery warning light will light on and the buzzer will make a
"beeping" sound. Then the Power Assist System will come to a stop.
It is very dangerous when you get into a situation where you can't
move about. Make sure to replace the battery, using the following
procedure.
(9) When detaching the battery, turn off the power and pull the battery
upward while pushing the release button.
WARNING
Store the detached battery with the protective cap on. There is a
danger of a short-circuit when the connecting portion is exposed.
(10) When stopping, apply the brakes by operating the push rings.
Caution:
When stopping or parking on an incline, be sure to lock the brakes on both
wheels of the wheelchair.
Note:
To conserve battery power, if there is no power assisted travel initiated
using the push rings for 5 minutes, the buzzer will beep, and the power will be
turned off automatically (auto-power off function). Turn off the power first
before turning it on again.
