ADJUSTING THE CLUTCH CABLE FREE
PLAY
1. Check:
S clutch cable free play a
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Clutch cable free play (at the
end of the clutch lever)
10 X 15 mm
2. Adjust:
S clutch cable free play
Handlebar side
a. Loosen the locknut 1 .
b. Turn the adjusting bolt 2 in direction a or
b until the specified clutch cable free
play is obtained.
Direction a

c. Tighten the locknut.
NOTE:
If the specified clutch cable free play cannot
be obtained on the handlebar side of the
cable, use the adjusting nut on the engine
side.
Engine side
a. Loosen the locknuts 3 .
b. Turn the adjusting bolt 4 in direction c or
d until the specified clutch cable free
play is obtained.
