CHECKING AND CHARGING THE BATTERY/

CHECKING THE FUSES

6. Install:
S battery
7. Connect:
S battery leads
(to the battery terminals)
CAUTION:
First, connect the positive lead 1 , then
the negative lead 2 .
8. Check:
S battery terminals
Dirt ! Clean with a wire brush.
Loose connection ! Connect properly.
9. Lubricate:
S battery terminals
Recommended lubricant
10. Install:
S seat

CHECKING THE FUSES
The following procedure applies to all of the
fuses.
CAUTION:
To avoid a short circuit, always turn the
main switch to "OFF" when checking or
replacing a fuse.
1. Remove:
S seat
2. Check:
S fuse
a. Connect the pocket tester to the fuse and
check it for continuity.
NOTE:
Se the pocket tester selector to "Ω
Pocket tester
b. If the pocket tester indicates " ", replace
the fuse.
