SELF-DIAGNOSIS
The YZF600R features self-diagnosis.
When the main switch is turned to "ON", the following items are monitored and the condition codes are
displayed on the tachometer (irrespective of whether the engine is running or not).

1. Fail to the throttle position sensor
While the engine is stopped, the engine speed 3 is shown as 0 r/min.
2. Fail to speed sensor
While the engine is stopped, the engine speed 3 is shown as 0 r/min.
Condition
D Enables the motorcycle to run
so that the ignition timing is fixed
when the throttle is fully opened.
D Displays the condition code on
the tachometer.
