ASSEMBLING THE CARBURETORS
The following procedure applies to all of the car-
buretors.
CAUTION:
S Before assembling the carburetors,
wash all of the parts in a petroleum-
based solvent.
S Always use a new gasket.
1. Install:
S O-ring (New)
S washer
S pilot screw spring
S pilot screw 1
Pilot screw
2 turns out
2. Install:
S jet needle 1
S washer 2 (0.5 mm)
S ring 3
S clip 4
S washer 5 (0.5 mm)
Standard clip position:
No. 3 Groove
3. Install:
S piston valve
S jet needle kit 1
S jet needle holder 2
S piston valve spring 3
S vacuum chamber cover
NOTE:
S Insert the end of the piston valve spring
onto the spring guide on the vacuum
chamber cover.
S Align the tab on the piston valve dia-
phragm with the recess in the carburetor
body.
